I painted this portrait of Lil Peep a few days after his passing, on the 17th of November, 2017.
I was staying in Japan at the time so I could only share the grief with my friends over text.  How I deal with all things? I paint. I had painted a portait of Peep before, when he was alive. But this time, I made him an angel. The internet responded to this artwork well. So I made tshirts and prints and gave all the money to his mum... It felt wrong to keep any for myself. Lil Peep was one of those musicians that broadened my horizon.
 
My original paintings bear the charm of their imperfections, with odd marks and spills adorning the paper, making each one truly special in its unique way.
